At the IU Art Museum you can experience 'art from all angles'. From world-renowned architect I.M. Pei's soaring triangular atrium, to galleries filled with extraordinary works of art from all corners of the world, the collection will engage your senses and pique your interests.

Since its establishment in 1941, the IU Art Museum has grown from a small university teaching... collection into one of the foremost university art museums in the country. Today, the IU Art Museum's internationally acclaimed collection, ranges from ancient gold jewelry, and African masks, to paintings by Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso. The collection is compiled of approximately 40,000 objects.

Mission Statement: The Indiana University Art Museum’s mission is to preserve, exhibit, collect, research, publish, and interpret original works of art to advance the academic goals of Indiana University and to enrich the cultural lives and spiritual well-being of society.
