My daughter loves Night at the museum! Brought her here after watching the movies on family night. She didn't want to leave.Wonderful experience. Exhibits were momentous. Can't wait to get her back so we can see the new ones. Mommy love you so much! Cant wait to see you! See you soon.

This is by far the most amazing Natural History Museum I've visited so far. I really consider necessary to visit it multiple times and probably explore 1 or 2 levels once. Otherwise you'll be in a rush to see everything and won't have time to read and learn about the wonderful things displayed. Also recommend visiting the Hayden Planetarium and watching the movie in the huge sphere.

The experience at the museum can be great or completely not worth based on what you are looking for. Couple of opinions based on my visit ( to be fair I have only visited once) 1) If you are taking kids along and the main aim is for them to have an informative and curiosity awakening visit , the museum is totally worth it . You can easily spend the entire day there trying to understand the science and history behind the thousands of exhibits and even taking some of the additional specials is worth it . The rest of the points below are all only valid if the target audience is mainly adults 1) We took the all inclusive tickets and covered all the special exhibits and shows . Except for the "Dark Universe " show, all other specials were sort of "meh" 2) Sadly for us , since we spent all our time in the special shows, we couldn't spend much time in the General exhibits but whatever we did see was totally worth it 3) I would recommend taking the general admissions only (and maybe the dark universe special) and expect to spend anywhere from 3 hours to the whole day . Many of the exhibits that we did manage to cover were amazing and something unique

The American Museum of Natural History is famous around the world especially after the Night in the Museum films but it was a bit of a let-down for us . While some of the exhibits are great it feels very dark and not well organized in order to allow you to enjoy those The best part of the museum for us was the Rose Centre for Earth and Space and the planetarium. The Dark Universe theme was both informative and entertaining at the same time. I believe the museum can improve some of the guides so as to allow visitors to enjoy it more during a day visit. While there are a number of tours recommended in the guides none of them is easy to follow. so a lot more can be done in that area ..

One of the major attractions in NYC if you love natural history of mankind. Though I got the impression that it’s mostly good for kids. They get to see a lot of fossils and dinosaur skeletons. There is a simulation of growth of human population over time which was absolutely amazing. The Human migration section is really interesting. If you are a student ( make sure to show your id), they usually ask for a ‘suggested’ price of entry, which you don’t need to pay, you can even pay just 1$ and go inside !
