Board your Victorian Christmas train at Sheepscot station for a 15-minute steam-powered ride through the wild pine forests, farmlands and hamlets of the Sheepscot Valley to Alna Center where Santa Claus and a Christmas Market await.
As you disembark from the train, family fun and yuletide joy fills the air. All youngsters will be treated to a visit with St. Nicholas himself, Santa Claus. Then explore the Holiday Market while enjoying a nice, relaxed, family-friendly Christmas Fête – filled with the best local products. The entire experience takes approximately 1.5 hours.
Ticket price includes your journey aboard the historic steam train, a visit with Santa, hot beverages, ornament making, as well as parking at Sheepscot and admission to the SeaLyon Christmas Market. Additional refreshments, snacks, and other farm products are sold separately by SeaLyon Farm and their partners. Note that due to the nature of this event, wheelchairs can not be accommodated.
Unfortunately, pets can not be accommodated during this special event.
Victorian Christmas Trains depart Sheepscot station promptly at 10am, 10:50am, 11:40am, 12:30pm, 1:20pm, and 2:10pm on Saturday December 14th. Please anticipate traffic conditions on Route 1 in Wiscasset.

About the SeaLyon Christmas Market
Sponsored by SeaLyon Farm the market will be held rain, snow, or shine under the spacious pavilion at Alna Center.
Activities and vendors at the SeaLyon Christmas Market will include:
- A Farm Store selling jams, salsas, lavender products, baked goods, the best whoopie pies in Maine and other tasty treats.
- An old-fashioned Christmas market filled with the best handmade and home-cooked gifts sure to make the season bright.
- Great hot food from Sum’Battus BBQ.
- Homemade and delicious Kettle Corn from Poppies Kettle Corn.
- Maple syrup products from Marcoux Family Farm.
There will be a 50 minute stopover at Alna Center to enjoy the Market and all activities before the narrow gauge train returns you to Sheepscot station.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Accessibility: Climbing of 2-3 stairs is required to board the historic train.
